The love for sports in India is blooming from every corner of our nation; and so is the talent.
India is brimming with sporting talent from all across the country.
One such talent hails from the islands of Andaman and Nicobar Island. Indian teenager Esow Alben recently became the World No. 1 in the Junior sprinting circuit.

The 17-year-old cycling sensation Esow Alben trains at the National Cycling Academy in New Delhi.
Earlier this year in February, Esow Alben had created history after becoming the 1st Indian to bag a gold medal at the Asian Junior track Cycling Championship.
In all, he won 3 golds in the event — including 2 individuals, one each in Keirin and Sprint; and 1 team with Mayur Pawar and James Singh.
But it was only in June last month that Esow crowned himself as the World No. 1 in the Junior Sprinting circuit by grabbing a total of 1160 points. It was only Deborah Herold previously who had the best ranking in this category.
At just 17, this young lad already has many records and secured several medals in the cycling world. Ranking World No. 1 in the Junior sprinting circuit is no small achievement.
As much as Esow would love to celebrate this moment, he has to get back to his training. Esow will be representing India in the Junior Cycling World Championship in August. The Championships will also act as qualifiers for Youth Olympics.

Isn’t he a rockstar already?
We hope Esow continues to rock the cycling world and brings home many more medals.
