Frame:
When you look at the frame, there’s nothing fancy at all. It’s a bicycle as simple as it gets. Available in white, the bicycle frame is available in two sizes: medium and large. So if your height is 5.3 or 5.4 feet this bicycle should work perfectly fine.
As expected this bicycle is fitted with a 26 inch rigid suspension fork that gets the job done.
This makes it ideal for city commute or village trials that are not harsh at all.
This fork is further fitted with a steel handle bar that is just wide enough to offer a comfortable position while riding.
Wheels:
The bicycle comes with 26 inch rubber tyres that are knobby and offer good grip on any kind of surface. Unlike the other btwin bicycles, the mybike is super tough and can take the beating on Indian roads and weather conditions.
These tyres are supported by single walled aluminum rims. These rims might not be the best considering the Indian road conditions, but keeping the price point in mind, the quality of these rims is really good. We wouldn’t expect anything more.
Drive train:
The btwin my bike comes with the simplest form of drive train you will ever get. It not only rolls well, but also needs super less maintenance. A timely basic degreasing and oiling is all it requires. What more could you ask for?
Moving on to the brakes, the bicycle comes with V brakes that are controlled with the help of just two fingers. They too are easy to maintain and offer good stopping power. Besides, they work incredibly well.
Last but not the least, the bicycle comes with a comfortable saddle that seems better as compared to the other btwin models. However, the bicycle seat does not come with a quick release. It also does not have quick release on the wheels. A fair enough exchange for a bicycle that is budget friendly and costs you not more than 6000.
So if you are looking for a bicycle under 6000 that barely requires any maintenance and can be ridden around anywhere, the btwin mybike is for you.
